Each TTUSD Trustee must reside within a specific geographical area of the district - however, all Trustees are elected at-large, and as such represent the entire district and not just their individual areas. The residence boundaries of the Trustee areas can be found here. Trustees are elected to staggered four year terms.
TTUSD Faces 2009-10 Budget Shortfall in Excess of $3 Million
Because of adverse economic conditions and rising employee and other costs, the district faces a significant budget shortfall for next year. The Board of Trustees is working closely and collaboratively with the superintendent, the assistant superintendents, the department heads and the principals to address this deficit. Specifically, this leadership team is looking at ways to more efficiently restructure the district so that we can continue to meet the educational needs of children despite the shortfall. Lakside Restructuring Committee The Tahoe Truckee Restructing and Reconfiguration Advisory Committee (TTRRAC) was a citizen's committee established to advise the Board on possible reconfigurations of our Lakeside faciltiies and programming to better meet the needs of our students.
